Stone carving is both a creative act and a meditation. Each strike of the chisel is an exchange between hand, tool, and ancient material. The stone holds stillness, yet within it there is a form waiting, something timeless pressing against the surface. My work is less about imposing shape and more about listening—feeling the resistance, honoring the grain, and allowing what is essential to emerge. Michelangelo said he saw the angel in the marble and carved until he set it free; I adapt this as an invitation to uncover the truth of the stone.  The process becomes a mirror: the patience it requires is the patience I need in life, the discipline of removing excess reflects the clarity I seek within myself.
